Board Member Opportunities

We are currently seeking candidates for the following roles. We ask that you live in Colorado but you do NOT need to be Denver-based. We’re looking for board members from all over the state! Click on each to see a full role description. 

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates with a range of skills and backgrounds, including:

  • Financial Expertise: Nonprofit financial management, accounting, or budget oversight.
  • Advocacy and Policy Knowledge: Experience in conservation policy, legislative processes, or grassroots advocacy.
  • Communications and Marketing: Skills in storytelling, social media, or supporter engagement.
  • Diversity and Representation: Individuals from diverse backgrounds, regions, and experiences to strengthen our statewide representation.

You don’t need prior board experience—just a passion for our mission and a willingness to contribute your time and talents! We are looking for a wide range of skills to join our board, so please apply even if you’re not sure you meet all the qualifications for a specific role description. 

Application Process

Joining the CWF Board is a simple process:

  1. February 1-28: Submit Your Application: Click HERE to complete our online application form. Share your background, skills, and why you’re passionate about joining our Board.
  2. March 17-31: Interview: Qualified applicants will be invited to meet with our Interview Committee to discuss their interests and potential fit for the Board.
  3. April: Selection: Successful candidates will be notified and onboarded to begin their term.

Board member applications are open until February 28th, and member terms typically run for three years with the option for renewal.
