What does a BOW Weekend look like?

The BOW Weekend begins at noon on Friday and ends around noon on Sunday. There will be 4 class sessions throughout the weekend, each class session is 3 hours long. Click here for the tentative schedule of events. This July, we are hosting the workshop at CSU’s Mountain Campus in Bellvue, CO. All meals and lodging are provided for the weekend. Lodging is onsite in shared cabins. The kitchen can accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have. Please let us know if you have any significant allergies outside of the top 9 allergens.

In addition to the classes, there are a few evening events to enjoy such as happy hour, campfire socials, game tasting, a raffle and silent auction, the opportunity to explore the trails and sights around campus, or to enjoy your downtime however you wish such as reading, photography, etc.!

Registration:

When you register, you will rank which classes you’d like to attend most throughout the weekend. We will do our best to give everybody their first choices. The classes you are assigned depend on availability and time of registration so sign-up ASAP to get the best chance at the classes you want to take most!

Instructors:

We strive to get instructors who are knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate in their field. Some are employed in the fields they teach; others are experts in their subjects, and some are Colorado Parks and Wildlife employees with years of experience in the flora and fauna of Colorado. While many of our instructors are women, we do also have a few excellent male instructors that have long been dedicated to providing the very best instruction for our attendees. All of our instructors are volunteers.

Cancellations:

A $100 fee will be charged to all canceled registrants. There will be NO REFUNDS given after July 5th. Registrants who do not attend and do not cancel by July 5, 2024, will be assessed the full program fee. If you can no longer attend, please consider sending a substitute in your place at no charge – contact Anna Zak at: or 720-442-2480 to provide the contact information for your substitute.
