- Birds that come to CO from AK -Nat. Petroleum Reserve nesting grounds - May 16, 2012 Fifteen species of birds, ducks, shorebirds, and geese migrate to or through Colorado from their nesting grounds in Alaska's National Petroleum Reserve, according to the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

- BLM greater sage grouse comment period extended to 3/23/2012 - February 8, 2012 BLM has extended the scoping deadline for the Colorado greater sage grouse planning process through March 23. CWF is drafting comments and will post in advance of the deadline.
- 2012 Conservation in the West Poll - January 31, 2012This 2012 Colorado College Conservation in the West poll released January 30 surveyed attitudes of voters in 6 western states including Colorado. It finds western voters regard public lands as "essential to the economy."
- Comments submitted to BLM re North Park - January 19, 2012 CWF and NWF submitted comments to BLM re its Draft Resource Management Plan (RMP) for North Park on January 17. We also renewed our collective request for master leasing planning to be incorporated into the RMP.
